Got You...! is a photographic exploration of perception, misinterpretation, and the moment of surprise.The series draws inspiration from the tension between social expectations and personal emotion. In a world shaped by social conventions, individuals are often compelled to maintain composure, concealing the more unruly currents of feeling beneath a polished exterior.
Got You...! captures the inner conflict between outward restraint and the quiet impulse to break free, inviting viewers to reconsider the hidden energies and suppressed truths that linger beneath the sur-face.
Each portrait embodies a duality: seen from behind, the figures appear composed, serene, and emotionally muted, dissolving into a quiet, almost subdued atmosphere. Yet when turned to face the view-er, their expressions erupt into joy, vitality, and mischief — a striking reversal of the initial impression.This sudden shift, revealed in their sly, knowing smiles, echoes the project's title: Got You...! — a playful reminder of how easily appearances can deceive.
